Elks Riders #1743
March is upon us. We have a lot of work ahead of us. However, at the time this article was written we did not have our January meeting, so there is not much new information to put out this month. What I would like to address is our monthly meetings. I know it is not mandatory and I haven't really pushed the issue, however it is vital that you do your best to attend a meeting. We are not asking you to be at every one. They are scheduled for once a month on the third Sunday at 11:15 am. If we are, and I say we because it takes all of us, if we are going to grow this into what I know it can be we need your support and input. We are looking for fresh ideas this year. So please do your best to attend a meeting and give us your input. Also last month we were honored to present to Madison’s family a check for $1,610 for help with her medical expenses. She is doing well. Again PLEASE attend a meeting. Dress for the Slide, Not for the ride ============================================================= The purpose of this association is to increase the popularity of our common interests, riding and enjoying our membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. By adding the chapter of Saint George Elks Riders #1743 to Saint George Lodge #1743, we hope to add many new members to both our lodge and association. We want to have fun when we are together, whether it be riding or working side by side with others on projects that will benefit many different charities. By developing relationships and friendships, the association will become even stronger. We would like to try to further promote the interest of our association and our members, not only to fellow Elks, but the community as well. We will strive to make a difference. We strive to become a successful association. its success is generated by the hard work and time donated by our members towards a worthy cause. We would like to become recognized on a local, state, and possibly national levels as a successful association of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. |
