The Arc of Washington County is a non-profit organization for people with learning and intellectual disabilities. It also serves people with developmental and cognitive disabilities such as autism, down syndrome, brain injury, fetal alcohol syndrome and aspergers. The services provided by the Arc include: leadership opportunities, community exploration, recreational experiences including dances, and individual advocacy.
TURN Community Services is another non-profit disability agency in Washington County. TURN provides direct services for people with intellectual and learning disabilities. The services provided by TURN include: Residential Supports, Adult Day Care, Employment Support, Day Program Support, Respite Care, and Transportation Supports for people with cognitive and developmental disabilities.
Once a month the Elks sponsor a dance for the individuals of ARC and TURN.
